Residential Treatment Centers



Residential treatment centers are combination of educational and medical center for adolescents ages 11-18. While at residential center, your pre-teen or teenager will receive intensive therapeutic services from caring, experienced therapists who only want to see your child succeed.

These residential treatment centers are for adolescent boys and girls between the ages of 11-18. The treatment center's, strengths are the small size and strong therapeutic program.

In some cases, teenagers with continuously monotonous, self-defeating behavior require a high-impact residential treatment environment, one that can help troubled teens address and overcome the full spectrum of personal obstacles, and one that can help them become whole.

Some people confuse a residential treatment center with a boarding school. There are some difference between residential treatment center and boarding school.

A true residential treatment center will have several licensed doctors on staff. Some centers are licensed through an organization known as the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Some residential treatment centers are designed to be only a short-term placement which some people believe lessens the success of the treatment.

•Education –the center provides some therapeutic program as their respective residential programs but instead of living on campus, student live with families at night and weekday.

•Activity and Recreation Services –these residential centers in clued an extensive recreational therapy program designed to help student have successful experience through physical, social and cultural field.
