If you are planning for the education of your kids, you should know the right to be heard and respected. These rights do not change when a student is determined to need special education.
You can do be obtaining additional rights and responsibilities. These are helpful for yours children. These rights ensure that the needs of your child are addressed and that you are involved. These rights are:-
1. Observe of classroom :- It is right of parents that they can visit their childs classroom to observe activities. The time and date might be arranged in school.
2. Teachers Conference :- It is right of parents to request a conference with their children teacher. Parents should contact the school to schedule a date and time.
3. Volunteering :- It is right of parents to volunteer their time and resources for the improvement of school facilities and programs.
4. Student Attendance :- Parents have the right to know that their children join school continue or not.
5. Test of student :- Parents have the right to know about their children performance on standardized and state-wide tests and the schools ranking on these tests.
6. School Selection :- It is right of parents to request that their child be enrolled in any school in the district.
7. Safe School Environment : - Parents have the right to the assurance of a secure and supportive learning environment for their children.
8. Student Records :- Parents have the right to access their childs records and academic progress and they could about their feeling and privacy.
9. Psychological Testing : - it is the duty of the parents to receive information about their children psychological testing.
10. Councils and Committees : - Parents have the right to involve you as a member of school-site council, or management.
Parents and guardians have the right to work in a commonly supportive and respectful partnership with the school programs to help their child be successful. The committee of each school created policy or guidelines that outline how parents and guardians, school staff, and students may contribute to the responsibility.
