Post-traumatic stress disorder or PTSD is a debilitating condition that may develop following a terrifying event.

It is characterized by persistent frightening thoughts and memories of the ordeal. The situation was first brought to public consideration by war veterans, but it may result from any number of disturbing incidents or even from witnessing a traumatic occurrence.

It can be a chronic, disabling state which causes people to suffer in quiet when those around them cannot appreciate.

It is also describes as an anxiety disorder that is heightened when goes through a disturbing occasion. Violent personal assaults, natural disasters, accidents, military combat, and other traumatic and stressful situations that may occur all may be a cause of PTSD.

We can understand by these facts that the teens are effective by PTSD or not:-

• Violent attacks, such as rape, mugging, or torture.
• Threats of violence or verbal abuse, such as bullying.
• Disasters, both natural and human-caused.
• Child abuse and domestic abuse.
• Being kidnapped or held captive.
• Accidents.
• Military combat.

If we have been through one of these reactions, we can be familiar with PTSD through several different occurrences that may go through our mind.

An additional part of PTSD is the emotional and psychological connections of the memories. Depression, anxiety and uncontrolled anger are a few of the activities that will happen along with the flashbacks.

These emotions are usually suppressed or out of control in the condition where one is reminded of the traumatic situation that they were in.

Behavioral therapy, group therapy, and exposure therapy, in which the patient continually relives the frightening experience under controlled conditions to facilitate him or her work through the pain.
