HIV Transmission



HIV is a cause of AIDS and refers to Human Immuno Deficiency Virus. The HIV transmission means to reach the virus from one to another. The HIV transmitted through many ways. In the HIV transmission it has seen that girls are more probable at risk.

The HIV virus enters in a body of a person through blood. The concept behind it is that the HIV virus needs to bind target cells with particular receptors on the surface. Cells with these particular receptors are abundant in the lining of the genital path and that of the anus. The HIV enters in a body especially through the anal-rectal area because vagina is very delicate and can be torn as a result of friction generated during sexual intercourse and bleeding starts.

The unprotected sex is a main cause of transmission of HIV in these days. It is not possible that every sexual activity is a cause of HIV or unprotected sex always dangerous but it is depend on your sex partner that he/she may the HIV infected person or not.

Oral sex is also the way of transmission of HIV but it is safer than vaginal sex. The researches show that after use of condoms the transmission HIV stops.

The other ways of HIV transmission are use of needle. Once anyone use the needle to inject him/her, then needle touch the blood and when any other people use the needle then the needle transmits the HIV if first one has the HIV. Through this way the HIV is transmitting in many peoples because the fashion of drug use is increasing day by day and mostly youth use injections for take drug.

His/her mother also transmits HIV to a newborn child. If a pregnant lady is HIV infected then the possibility of HIV infection in a newborn child is also increased. If the mother of newborn child has not HIV infection but his/her father is HIV infected then it is also possible that the newborn child is HIV infected because he/she takes the Jens of his/her father.

HIV transmission becomes more in young girls because they are not mature and use anal sex to avoid pregnancy and to maintain virginity. It has shown in researches that the chances of HIV infection after anal sex is approximately 20 times greater than after unprotected vaginal sex.

Some other reasons of HIV transmission are accidents and donation of blood. For example if two persons accident together and their bloods touches to other one then there is possibility of HIV transmission if one of them is HIV infected.
