Mountain Home Youth Ranch is a therapeutic approach for troubled teen’s ages of 12 to 17. The center is 15,000 acre private ranch in Colorado for struggling teens to heal them emotionally and physically. The location of the center is beautiful and tranquil which supports the students to view their abilities in different perspective. They help them to break their destructive behaviors and begin a new life.

The MHYR program is divided in to three phases which are beginning, advanced and ranch. In beginning phase participants learn the interdependency of nature’s resources, personal skill and knowledge, and responsible and cooperative behavior for the sustaining of life's basic needs. The advanced phase of program continues to place youth in camping community where they share their responsibility and community with each other. There the students are offered by individual and group counseling to teach them the moral values of life and begin to become internalized.

The ranch phase is most important part of the center which works with the students as well as their family. The student learns the value of trust & Integrity in this phase. The first two phases teach the students independence and leadership, which they utilize in their educational settings such as GED, High School and College correspondence courses. The facilities of the center are very beautiful and attractive for their students. Their services are very effective for students to enhance their life skills.

They plan individualized treatment for every student in their therapeutic program which is treated by outstanding therapists. The treatment plan is expressed thoroughly to their students which is a comprehensive assessment to fulfill their goals. They offer them wide variety of therapeutic program to regain their life skills.
