Adirondack Leadership Expeditions is a character development wilderness program for troubled teens that promotes personal and professional growth of teens. The location of center is very beautiful in mountain settings. They help students to gain insight in to their core values and accept responsibility for their choices. The center specialize in helping young adults age of 13 to 17 who are struggling with their family conflict, isolation, low self esteem, substance abuse, attention deficit, learning differences, school failure, manipulation, and negative peer relationships.

Wilderness program's nurturing approach helps participants to address themselves and to achieve success in safe and comfortable environment. They assist them to build new life skills to engage healthy relationships and to develop critical thinking skills. The program does not accept students who have been diagnosed with major mental health thought disorders and have serious history of disabilities.

The teenagers who attend their programs are generally brilliant, creative adolescents but have fallen into negative behavior patterns. These teens may show signs of slipping grades and poor academic performance, hostility toward authority figures, poor choices of friends and peer groups, and other destructive behaviors which spoils their life and bring them on the devastating path.

The psychologists of center suggest individualized treatment plan to their students at a flexible length of stay. They help their students to identify self defeating behaviors and move toward positive achievement of their goals. They treat behavioral strategies of students which are often maladaptive, critical, and clearly not sustainable. The goal of center is to teach their participants to think more insightfully, assess their abilities, improve communication skills and practice healthy behavioral habits.
